An annotated bibliography is a list of references to books, articles, and documents.

  1. The Mexican Coffee Crisis
  • The Coffee Crisis basically occurred due to the removal of the international coffee market in 1989. Ultimately, this led to the re-establishment of the coffee sector under the authority of companies who do multiple businesses with different countries. 
  • I plan to use this information to discuss how one of the most powerful roasters known as the Nestle company has made it almost impossible to enhance the quality of the coffee in order to sell on the domestic market. This led to the survival of the fittest for companies who want to be able to receive a good price for the products. 

2.History Of Coffee 

  • A summary/ brief description of coffee basically. The article discusses the origin of coffee and how it was brought to other areas of the world. In addition, the author discusses the experiences of others encounter coffee and how the product influenced them. 
  • I plan on using this information to give my audience a clear history of coffee and the origins of coffee to explain how it all began. Also, by using this information my readers can get an insight into the important highlights of coffee (experiences/influence). 

3. Coffee Botany, Biochemistry, Production of Beans and Beverage

  • This certain section of the book discusses tales regarding where coffee could be originated from and how it was brought up.
  • I plan on incorporating tales on the origin of coffee to attract interest to my audience about coffee.

4. Costa Rica’s response to the Coffee Crisis

  • Basically this article discusses the types of strategies that Costa Rica used in order to surpass the issues of market crises along with ideas concerning the economic stability of cooperation/firms.
  • I plan on incorporating this information to my essay to give readers an idea of how others have faced the crisis on coffee beans in Mexico and how these strategies benefit them.

5. Coffee, Farming Families, and Fair Trade in Costa Rica: New Markets, Same Old Problems?

  • This article discusses the trades between different stores regarding coffee and the incomes it provides farmers. In addition, this report discusses the drawbacks of production through farmers’ perceptions.
  • I plan on incorporating this information into my essay to back up my position on the coffee crisis.
